New specifications for biodiesel will be effective as soon as ASTM publishes the changes that were passed by committee in June.  Publication could happen as early as this fall.  Biodiesel producers should prepare now to meet the new specification, which includes a mandatory Cold Soak Filtration Test.  A training video on the cold soak filtration test method is available online at http://www.biodiesel.org/resources/fuelqualityguide/
